The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to whip up delicious meals, and the private balcony provided a peaceful spot to relax with garden views. It was perfect for someone like me who loves cooking and enjoys quiet moments in nature.
I personally found the air conditioning in the rooms unnecessary, but I understand that others might appreciate it.

The chalet at Houtkapperspoort Country Cottages was like a cozy home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy for me to whip up my favorite meals.
Personally, I found the private balconies or patios a bit small, but others might still enjoy the cozy outdoor space.

The location of Houtkapperspoort Country Cottages was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful trees and offering breathtaking mountain views. We loved sitting on the verandah, enjoying the peace and quiet and observing the abundant wildlife in the area. The open fireplace was perfect for those chilly evenings, creating a cozy atmosphere. The secure nature of the property and estate helped us feel safe and relaxed throughout our stay.
We did encounter a couple of minor inconveniences during our stay, such as a dirty mop that was left on the porch upon our arrival and not removed throughout our visit. Additionally, there were some limited self-catering supplies, as we found no salt, pepper, paper towels, or napkins.

The view was breathtaking! the property was quiet and secluded, which we loved. the pool was clean and inviting, perfect for a relaxing dip after a long day. We also appreciated the helpfulness of the reception staff and the variety of nearby restaurants and shops.
The proximity of our cottage to a busy road, resulting in constant traffic noise. Next time, we will make sure to book a cottage further away from the main road.

I must say, we definitely got great value for our money at these cottages. The room was lovely, neat, and oh-so-comfortable, with stunning views of the mountains. The location was perfect, nestled between Hout Bay and Constantia, and we felt safe and at ease with the diligent security guard on patrol. The staff, especially the security and cleaning team, were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
When it comes to the breakfast menu, it would have been great if there were more options to choose from, specifically in terms of hot dishes.

Free WiFi, air conditioning, and a lovely garden with a swimming pool. Oh, and don't forget the amazing recreational amenities like the outdoor pool and tennis court.
Just loved that the bathroom upstairs was a bit "old".

Loved the magnificent bed, felt like sleeping on a cloud. Reception service was impressive, even through my mobile. And oh, the scenery, simply breathtaking! Plus, I didn't get kidnapped, so security was on point.
Cottages need a makeover, but hey, shabby chic is in, right? And who needs a working toilet flush when you can rock the bucket-carrying trend?
